Tibetan and Human Rights in China - online discussion and official introduction of newly printed book by Central Tibetan Administration in Czech language ("Tibet Was Never a Part of China") took place on March 10, 2021 and was organized in cooperation with Amnesty International Czech Republic.
Speakers: Lhagyari Namgyal Dolkar - member of Tibetan Parliament in exile, František Kopřiva - member of Czech Parliament, Dr. Jarmila Ptáčková - Tibetologist, Czech Academy of Science, Jigme Kirti Tsang - president of TACR, Sonam Tsering - vicepresident of TACR.
Opening of the program and introduction: Lobsang Tsering - member of TACR, PhD. student at University of South Bohemia, Linda Sokačová - director of Amnesty International Czech Republic, Iva Tratinová, Jana Gutvirthová, Dominika Tokárová - Amnesty International activist group.

"Thank You Czech Republic for Supporting Tibet" was a special event which was a part of events organized through 2018 - 2019, a year dedicated to expressing thanks from the Tibetans living in exile to all the countries, which became their new home and for their support to the Tibetan issue. "Thank you Czech republic" was organized in 2019 by the Tibetan Association of the Czech Republic in cooperation with Václav Havel Library, Forum 2000 Foundation, People in Need Foundation and One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival. Czech Tibetans were joined to celebrate by Cholsum Shabdro Vienna - a Tibetan dance group, which arrived especially for the event from Austria.
June 6, day of the birthday of His Holiness the Dalai Lama is one of the most important days for Tibetans. Members of Tibetan Association, Czech singer and influencer Tomáš Klus, vicepresidents of the Czech Parliamentary Group for Tibet Mr. František Kopřiva (member of parliament) and Mr. Přemysl Rabas (senator) and many other supporters of Tibet have joined to wish His Holiness happy birthday in this video.
March 10, Tibetan National Uprising Day commemorates the 1959 Tibetan uprising against the presence of the People's Republic of China in Tibet. The failure of the armed rebellion ultimately resulted in a violent crackdown on Tibetan independence movements, and the escape of His Holiness Dalai Lama into exile. In 2019 the Tibetan Association helped to organize the visit of the Czech Parliamentary Group for Tibet´a founding members Mr. František Kopřiva and Ms. Dana Balcarová to Dharamshala, India. TACR members are closely cooperating with the Czech Parliamentary Group for Tibet and the Tibet Interest Group (TIG) in the European Parliament.
We also commemorate March 10 in the Czech Republic every year. A protest is being organized by organizations Lungta and Amnesty International Czech Republic in front of the Chinese Embassy in Prague.
Dialogue for Peace Tour - on his tour of 30 European countries to promote 'Dialogue for Peace', Venerable Thupten Wanchen, Member of Tibetan Parliament in exile visited Czech Republic and met with local Tibetans and a president of Central Tibetan Administration Sikyong Dr. Lobsang Sangay, attended the Forum 2000 Conference and addressed the public together with members of Tibetan Association in an event organised by TACR in cooperation with Forum 2000 Foundation.
Tibet TV interview with Andrea Svobodová, TACR events manager, who has been helping to organize and coordinate visits of His Holiness the Dalai Lama and the President of Central Tibetan Administration Sikyong Dr. Lobsang Sangay in the Czech Republic since 2014.
Members of TACR have been regularly attending meetings with Czech politicians, supporters, and participating in many important events to promote Tibet and accompanying president of the Central Tibetan Administration, Sikyong Dr. Lobsan Sangay during his official visits. These meetings include presentation of the environmental situation in Tibet in the Czech Parliament, formal reception by the Mayor or the City of Prague Mr. Zdeněk Hřib, opening ceremonies of Forum 2000 conference and One World International Documentary Film Festival on Human Rights, official reception in the Czech Senate and many others.
